This is a highly commercial Finance Business Partner opportunity providing an excellent career move ideally suited to a finalist / recently qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent). This role will be part office / part ‘remote’ based working for a major company that employs over 30,000 staff.


Supporting the Commercial Directors across several business functions (e.g. Marketing, IT and Fleet) the role requires a business savvy accountant with great financial analysis, business partnering and communication skills. As Finance Business Partner your remit will include:

  • Finance Business Partnering of the commercial support functions providing insightful financial reporting and business insight to the management teams
  • Variance Analysis and ‘root cause’ investigations to understand business performance and influence performance improvement
  • Significant involvement in budgeting forecasting and capital investment planning
  • Financial modelling for commercial tender pricing
  • Liaison with Finance Shared Services to ensure accurate, timely and meaningful financial data is provided
  • Preparation of financial performance presentations for senior management
  • Getting ‘out and about’ in the business ( UK travel) to represent finance

To be successful in this role we seek the following experience, attributes and qualifications:

  • Part-qualified (actively studying) or qualified accountant
  • Confident, articulate and ambitious with a high level of commercial acumen
  • Great Excel and IT skills ( including V look up and Pivot Table skills)
  • Highly analytical with proven financial modelling skills
  • Strong financial balance sheet and P&L review experience
  • Exceptional planning ability and ‘deadline / target’ driven
  • Self-accountable BUT a team player!
