T2M Resourcing are seeking an Interim Finance Manager to lead a number of projects and will be an initial 6-12 month Fixed Term Contract on the client payroll (inside IR35). Based to the west of Birmingham this Finance Manager role is suitable for a qualified accountant or ‘QBE’ who has proven experience of acquisition integration and process improvement. This role will be an on-site based position.

Reporting to the Finance Director of this >£70m multi-site business you will work closely with the Financial Controller and business management teams on a variety of projects including acquisition integration, ERP system change and controls improvement. This role will also have responsibility for managing finance teams in newly acquired businesses.

Your remit as Finance Manager will include:

  • Lead the integration of acquired businesses including managing the finance teams of acquired entities
  • Review financial systems and controls to identify weakness and improvements
  • Ensure controls and measures are in place to flag early warnings of issues
  • Coordinate bank account set-up, access and reconciliation process
  • Setup month end processes and reporting to meet group reporting timetable
  • Ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Oversee sales ledger and credit control process, providing authorisation as appropriate for credit limit decisions and acting to escalate actions as required
  • Coaching and development of team members.
  • ERP system integration for acquired and existing businesses
  • Support Financial Controller to review and improve controls across the business
  • To develop and maintain a high level of working knowledge of relevant IT systems, offering advice and reports to other general and finance management within the division
  • Preparation of accounting entries, including accruals prepayments and maintenance of inter and intra-company transactions and balances.
  • Preparation of VAT returns, and responsibility for all corporation tax packs required at year end for Group reporting.

  • Experience of business acquisitions and accounting consolidation, intercompany transactions and trade desirable.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and lead change and transformation.
  • Able to work under pressure to meet month end timetables and competing deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, and an eye for opportunity in challenging costs.
  • Strong MS Excel and modelling skills with experience of multiple and varied ERP systems.
