T2M Technical and Engineering are recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of an established and growing organisation in the fire and security sector. This role as Business Development Manager will focus on the sale of fire safety and alarm systems.

The business is a full turnkey solutions provider and has a wealth of history in the fire and security sector. They are constantly striving to optimise latest products and technologies as well as finding new ways to benefit their clients.

What will you be doing?

As a Business Development Manager, key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting a business development and sales strategy.
  • Generating leads and converting to business opportunities.
  • Establishing new relationships with contractors, consultants and end users.
  • Work with design and estimation teams to provide quotations and solutions to customers.
  • Achieving sales targets and margins.
  • Work across the business to achieve organic growth goals.
  • Reporting on business development, activity and forecasting sales pipelines.
What are we looking for?

The successful Business Development Manager will need the following:

  • Proven Business Development Manager, capable of achieving sales goals and targets.
  • Highly personable character who builds long term relationships.
  • Able to produce new sales opportunities through lead generation and lead conversion.
  • Long term and big picture thinker, considerate of company wide objectives.
  • Understanding of fire safety legislation and standards, such as BS9999 and BS5839.
  • Contacts within key organisations that can be utilised to create business development prospects will be advantageous.

 

This role will be based from home however focus on the London region, you will be required to travel to sites and host meetings with customers.
