Commercial Finance Analyst

T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Commercial Finance Analyst for a leading retailer. This is a great opportunity for a part qualified accountant to develop and learn within a motivated and forward-thinking team in a fast-moving business environment.

As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial part of driving ambitious sales and margin growth plans through insightful reporting and analysis.

This is a hybrid role, which involves 2 days a week based in the office.

As Commercial Finance Analyst, key responsibilities will include:

• Support Commercial Trading teams with insightful reporting, enabling them to understand sales and margin performance at a category and channel level.
• Take charge of preparing and ensuring the robustness of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and margin reports.
• Conduct financial analysis to provide end to end understanding margin profitability.
• Offer support and analysis on promotional effectiveness and the performance of new range reviews.
• Delve into category specific deeper dives to analyse sales and margin performance.
• Assist in the modelling of category specific initiatives to maximise their potential.
• Collaborate with the Finance Business Partner and Head of Finance on various financial modelling tasks, promotional activity analysis, report automation, continuous improvement and period and quarterly review presentations.

As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will need the following skills, qualifications or experience: 

• Ideally studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
• Ideally prior experience in a commercial trading finance role within the retail industry.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modelling.
• An inquisitive problem solver.
• Proven ability to proactively manage tasks and deliver results within agreed timescales.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
