Reporting to the Head of Finance & Procurement, you will ensure that the business has appropriate financial controls, processes and policies in place to support business performance, minimise risk and protect company assets.

What will you be doing?

As Compliance and Assurance Business Partner your remit will include:

  • Support the Head of Finance and Procurement in ensuring that the business has appropriate financial controls, processes and policies in place to ensure that business performance is enhanced and complies with internal control standards regulation and legislation.
  • Act as accounting law champion and ensure all documentation and controls are up-to-date and in-line with Group guidance, carrying out audit testing and completing annual self-assessment of controls.
  • Act as Compliance Champion and Data Champion, representing the division at Group Corporate Confidence Programme meetings.
  • Coordinate, manage and continuously improve compliance activities, including GDPR, PCI-DSS, Corporate Criminal Offence (CCO), Duty to Report on Payment Practices and Anti-Bribery.
  • Embed effective risk analysis, management and reporting.
  • Introduce and administer an on-board audit regime for revenue protection of ticket and catering sales.
  • Support internal and external audits where required.
  • Manage Group Compliance e-learning training for employees.
  • Drive forward process improvements and work efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice
What are we looking for?

To be successful as Compliance & Assurance Business Partner you will have the following skills and experience:

  • A part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
  • Experience of financial controls, internal audit and risk management.
  • Strong focus on delivery to tightly defined deadlines including coordinating a wide array of stakeholders.
  • Practical experience working in a pressurised team environment with the ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Flexibility in managing varying workload and willingness to get the job done.
  • Commitment to personal development, including maintaining technical competence.
  • A sound knowledge of current best practice corporate governance processes would be an advantage.
