T2M are currently working alongside a leading engineering services group who focus on industrial machinery in a variety of sectors, to help them to recruit a Compliance Engineer.

As their Compliance Engineer you will take the lead on defining operations and documenting processes to ensure that new products meet legal, technical and commercial compliance requirements, ensuring conformity is maintained throughout the product’s lifecycle and production.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities as a Compliance Engineer include:

  • Ensure all products are compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Write risk assessment and mitigation processes in relation to compliance.
  • Responsible for working in collaboration with the design engineers to ensure that products under development meet the requirements and specifications.
  • Develop and manage all compliance documentation.
  • Develop and manage classification processes in line with company ISO9001:2015 policies and procedures.
What are we looking for?

Skills/experience required to be a successful Compliance Engineer

  • A degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline desirable.
  • Knowledge or experience of compliance, safety and certification engineering.
  • Knowledge of areas of conformity including:
    • Electrical safety (low voltage, up to 690 V)
    • EMC
    • Functional safety (control functions for machinery safety)
    • Environmental regulations (e.g. RoHS and Eco-design/ErP Directive)
  • A confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.

This role will be based from the company’s office in Rugby, and would report directly into the Head of Engineering. There is a salary in the region of £50,000 available for the role depending on experience alongside additional benefits.
