T2M Resourcing have been retained to recruit a Finance Business Partner for one of the UK’s leading companies within their sector which specialise in the production and distribution of products that are essential for sustainability.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of the management team this role has both a ‘regional’ and ‘functional’ focus so you will fully utilise your commercial acumen in fulfilling the expectations of the operations of the business and group requirements.

As Finance Business Partner, your role will include the following:

  • Provision of financial support, leadership,  critical analysis and challenge to support the business in achieving its financial performance targets.
  • Bring the ‘numbers to life’ – presenting information to non-financial management in a way that they will understand and engage with in order to make  high quality decisions.
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts that are realistic and achievable.
  • Review of P&L for your region ad functional areas of responsibility.
  • Ongoing financial review and analysis, developing KPI dashboards that are accurate.
  • Building strong internal stakeholder relationships (including at director level) and liaising with the central finance team to ensure that you receive the information required in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Working with the business to create and deliver performance improvement initiatives.
What are we looking for?

To be successful as Finance Business Partner, you will need to demonstrate the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent).
  • Prior Finance Business Partner experience and high level of commercial acumen – we need someone who loves to be actively involved with the business and be the trusted finance partner to the leadership team.
  • A solution provider rather than a problem finder! You must have a desire to make a positive difference and be prepared to adapt to changing priorities. Making things simple should be central to your motivation to improve processes and procedures!
  • Whilst you need to be personally driven and accountable, working as a team is essential.
  • Strong IT skills including Excel and the ability to produce insightful and interesting presentations using PowerPoint.
  • Whilst technology enabled meetings are common, you must also want to get out and about in the business and attend ‘face to face’ meetings in Scotland and in England from time to time.
  • We also want someone who has a positive outlook on life, has a good sense of humour and believes that work can be fun!
