Financial Controller

T2M Resourcing are working on behalf of a successful market leading UK business who have an opportunity for a Financial Controller to join their team. • Salary – £55,000 to £60,000 package + Bonus & Benefits Package
• On site – Scunthorpe

You will be the number 1 finance lead on site, reporting directly to the Divisional Finance Director you will be a key player in the senior management team on site, driving the business strategy, improve profitability and working capital management.

As Financial Controller your responsibilities will include:

• Business partnering with the business unit leadership team looking at strategic planning for growth and increased profitability.
• Prepare and oversee VAT returns each quarter and be responsible for year-end accounts for consolidation into the Group accounts and corporation tax packs.
• Responsibility for the costing and stock system and liaising with the operational units in understanding profitability and costing/pricing of products and customer profitability.
• Implement and monitor KPI’s with the Divisional Board.
• Identify areas for process improvement.
• Drive the development of business reporting, providing meaningful insight and analysing and reducing the cost base.
• Oversee Purchase ledger and sales ledger with a view to maintaining optimal cash flow.
• Ensure all Divisional/Group reporting timetables are met.

To be successful as Financial Controller you will have the following skills and experience:

• Qualified Accountant, ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Desire to challenge the status quo to identify opportunities.
• Prior experience of a similar role in a Plc./Group environment.
• Experience of managing auditors.
• High level Excel skills/data manipulation, high level of IT proficiency.
• Have a good understanding of business finance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet month end timetables.
