Financial Controller

T2MResourcing have been appointed to recruit a Financial Controller for a £40milliion turnover division of a larger Group.  As Financial Controller, in addition to reporting month end accounting, forecasting and budgeting. You will work with the operations, contract managers and regional MD on reporting client level P&Ls, commentary and analysis of performance to Group.

As Financial Controller your remit will include:

• Complete month end accounting to Trial Balance level for reporting to Group.
• Deliver month end reporting, by ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded, and relevant journals processed.
• Assist with completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and prior year.
• Analyse client level P&Ls for review with operations and contract managers.
• Project accounting and cashflow.
• Reconciliation and control of intercompany accounts.
• Ongoing WIP analysis and variance investigation.
• Assist with monthly cash flow forecast.
• Assist in budget process.
• Manage and develop a small team of 3.

To be successful as Financial Controller you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Qualified Accountant, ACCA, CIMA, ACA OR QBE.
• Must have previous experience as a Financial Controller.
• Good with stakeholder engagement and specifically on the operational side of a business.
• Prior experience of ownership of end-to-end P&L/BS.
• Adherence to processes and procedures.
• Excellent data/process/analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to influence – we seek an approachable and supportive character who is also able to challenge and ‘raise the bar’ to drive better performance.
