T2M Resourcing are recruiting a number of Financial Reporting Accountants on behalf of a leading Financial Services organisation that is going through a significant period of growth and thus providing great career prospects for high calibre qualified accountants. These positions could be either permanent or initial 12 month fixed term contracts as the company embraces a flexible working culture!

As a Financial Reporting Accountant you will provide technical accounting and regulatory financial reports and analysis, both from a ‘business as usual’ perspective and also supporting projects to improve financial reporting and controls.

What will you be doing?

As a Financial Reporting Accountant, key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of highly quality and timely financial reports including group results consolidation for internal and statutory reporting.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Support the integration of strategic and ongoing business developments, ensuring consistency and compliance to accounting standards (e.g. IFRS 17).
  • Maintain and develop technical financial reporting procedures manuals including liaison with other finance departments to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Ensure the integrity of ledgers.
  • Take the initiative to drive a continuous improvement and ‘risk aware’ culture across the business.
  • Co-ordinate KPI, KRI and TCF reporting and principals.
  • Liaison with key internal and external stakeholders and auditors regarding annual reporting and financial statements.
What are we looking for?

To be successful as a Financial Reporting Accountant, we require candidates with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, GCMA) with strong technical accounting skills, ideally with experience of working within the financial services sector.
  • A keen eye for detail and able to plan and prioritise to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of group consolidations and up to date knowledge of accounting standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Adaptable and agile – able to work effectively remotely and in an office environment.
  • Strong IT skills – used to working with big data across Microsoft and ERP software and systems.
