T2M Resourcing are working with a major UK Group whose continuing success requires a Group Financial Projects Manager to join their senior management team. With annual sales  of c£300m+ they are continuing to grow organically and by acquisition. As Group Financial Projects Manager, you will provide financial, commercial and operational analysis & support across all businesses within the group including supporting its sustainability agenda, it’s journey to net zero and internal audit / compliance.

  • Competitive Salary up to circa £70,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus & Benefits Package
  • Location: Birmingham (with some travel across the UK as required)
What will you be doing?

As Group Financial Projects Manager, your time will be split between Group Projects & Compliance as well as parachuting in covering roles across operating businesses as required.  Key responsibilities will include:

  • Be responsible for financial, commercial and operational analysis across all businesses within the Group, supporting Senior Management with ad hoc reporting and performance analytics to improve commercial and operational strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate risk, improve business insight and controls, generate efficiencies, productivity gains and cost reductions.
  • Supporting the Group on its sustainability agenda and route to net zero, including working with external consultants to collate emissions and waste data and participate in the strategy to reduce emissions both with the Group and also in its supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship within the existing head office team, senior management and budget holders and to be the first line of support to the business on financial matters.
  • Collate and prepare market intelligence and competitor analysis.
What are we looking for?

To be successful as Group Financial Project Manager you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Experienced Qualified Accountant – ACCA, ACA, CIMA
  • You will have the ability to communicate at Board level as well as with local financial, commercial and operational teams.
  • This would suit someone who will embrace a broad cross section of responsibility and the opportunities to develop skills in evolving areas of compliance and regulation such as environmental reporting.
  • Candidates seeking a move from an Internal Audit role will be considered as we as experience finance managers / controllers who thrive in an environment where you are handling multiple projects.
  • Able to identify areas within the business which need updating or improving, often working in tandem with the IT departments to extract and manipulate relevant data and develop reports for a range of systems.
  • Ability to interpret, analyse financial and non-financial information, alongside KPIs to troubleshoot and provide insight to senior management.
