T2M Resourcing are recruiting an experienced, hands-on Payroll Consultant for a leading national company. This role is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract whilst the business goes through a transition.

Working closely with the Payroll Manager, as Payroll Consultant you will assist in the leadership of the payroll function ensuring that the Company’s weekly and monthly payrolls (over 5000 employees) are managed and processed accurately & on time.

You will also take leadership responsibility for a team of Payroll Administrators and support as the business implement a new Payroll system. An improvement focused, individual, you will also assist in the ongoing continuous improvement and streamlining within the department.

  • Location: Hybrid working with 2 to 3 days a week required in the office
What will you be doing?

As Payroll Consultant, responsibilities will also include:

  • Leadership responsibility for a Payroll team.
  • Checking the accuracy of payroll data input.
  • Ensuring that deadlines are met for weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Ensuring accurate records of all aspects of payroll activity and audit compliance.
  • Overseeing the accuracy of Tax, NI and other deductions.
  • To oversee the ongoing auto enrolment process and ensure pension contributions are correct for our existing defined benefit schemes.
  • To provide data relating to payroll costs.
  • To ensure that all queries from external bodies are dealt with.
  • To assist in the maintenance and development of the new payroll system to meet changing legislation and new working practises.
What are we looking for?

As Payroll Consultant, you will demonstrate the following:

  • Previous leadership experience in a Payroll Manager/ Payroll Consultant role.
  • Significant experience of high volume weekly and monthly payrolls.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
  • Significant experience with Computerised Payroll systems, ideally iTrent.
  • Attention to detail, be meticulous and accurate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • High integrity and respecting data confidentiality.
