T2M are currently working alongside a leading manufacturer of alloyed metals to help them to recruit a Quality Engineer based from their site in Hereford.

As a Quality Engineer you will work closely with the wider Quality team to take responsibility for compliance across the site, improving the businesses Quality Management Systems whilst also promoting a right first-time culture.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be based form their main site in Hereford.

The business has initially budgeted a salary of £45,000 with the package also including a good holiday allowance, a matched pension contribution of up to 10% with a performance-based bonus scheme too.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities as a Quality Engineer:

  • Audit and development of internal processes in line with ISO and AS9001 specifications.
  • Development of business quality management systems in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure high levels and Quality and compliance across all areas of the site.
  • Development and sign off of new quality documentation prior to NPI and or new processes being introduced on site.
  • Management of supply chain quality to ensure compliance.
  • Management of NCRs, from notification through to verification and closure with customers.
What are we looking for?

Key Requirements to be successful as a Quality Engineer:

  • Over 5 years’ experience within Quality Engineering.
  • Previous experience working within an industrial manufacturing environment essential, experience within a metals manufacturing environment would be desirable.
  • Knowledge of NADCAP, AS9100 and AS13 specifications desirable.
  • Lead auditor qualified (ISO9001, AS9100) beneficial.
  • Recent experience of APQP and PPAP.
  • Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills.
