T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Senior Credit & Collections Manager on behalf of a leading international manufacturing business. In this newly created role, you will report to the Finance Director and be responsible for ensuring that the business has a robust framework for managing credit risk and ensuring customer debt is effectively managed.

What will you be doing?

Main responsibilities in this Senior Credit & Collections Manager role will include:

Credit & Risk

  • Lead the day-to-day credit management and credit risk processes.
  • Develop policies, processes, and controls for mitigating credit risk exposure.
  • Work closely with sales leadership team to ensure commercial standing of customers, minimise risk, and manage debt levels.
  • Set, monitor, and review credit limits in line with trading and insurance, providing customer risk insight and recommendations.
  • Working with the credit insurer ensure customer commercials and risk are understood and limits are maximised.
  • Implement, track and review controller KPI’s to minimise risk, reduce overdue debt and maximise collections.
  • Manage “key customer” accounts where material risk has been identified or is predicted.
  • Manage 3rd party finance provider relationship in conjunction with group Treasurer.
  • Manage credit insurance in conjunction with group C&C Manager and 3rd party brokers.
  • Reporting of monthly credit & risk KPIS and analysis
  • Support the Head of Financial Control with the Bad debt provision making factual based recommendations.
  • Coordinate and deliver year end audit activities working closely with the Head of Financial Control.

Leadership and Management

  • Lead, develop and mentor the Customer credit teams
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture, aligning resources and structures to support the finance and business strategy whilst optimising performance and effectiveness.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders
What are we looking for?

To be successful in this Senior Credit & Collections Manager role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of the AR/OTC process including previous leadership in a similar position.
  • Experience of working in a busy environment with ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
  • Experience leading and building teams.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to influence, engage, inspire and mentor.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Demonstrates a highly professional approach with strong work ethic.
  • Able to adapt to change and new situations when needed.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • High integrity with commitment to good governance.
