T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Credit Manager for a leading UK business. This role will be based in the South West of England and presents a great opportunity for an experienced credit management professional to play a key role in mitigating risk (whilst taking a pragmatic approach) for our clients B2B customer base.

Leading a small team you will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to support the continued growth of the business whilst ensuring that best practice is applied to the evaluation and approval of trade credit arrangements including the utilisation of 3rd party funding providers.

What will you be doing?

As Credit Manager your remit will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Pro-actively manage the current risk exposure across the B2B client portfolio whilst also ensuring forward credit ‘head room’ for account growth as appropriate.
  • Oversee debt recovery processes, mitigate fraud exposure and oversee legal administration as required.
  • Ensure that clear and up to date credit policies and operating procedures are in place and adhered to.
  • Lead and develop a team (directly and indirectly) across credit, underwriting and legal teams.
  • Instill a ‘continuous improvement culture’.
  • Manage third party relationships as well across the group to ensure effective collaboration and scaling of the groups trade debt propositions.
What are we looking for?

To be successful as Credit Manager you will require the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Proven experience operating in a credit management leadership role within a B2B remit.
  • Good understanding of how to interpret financial data / accounts.
  • Prior experience of working with 3rd party funders to facilitate trade credit for legal entities and sole traders.
  • Great communication and influencing skills – able to present insightful and impactful information.
  • Team leadership and development skills also with the ability to influence those not under your direct control.
  • Driven by achieving excellent outcomes through continuous improvement of processes and policies.
