VAT Assistant

T2M Resourcing is delighted to be exclusively recruiting a VAT Assistant for one of Manchester’s most respected international businesses. Location: Greater Manchester (Northwest, England)
Salary: Up to £32,000 (DOE) + discretionary bonus + benefits package
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office / 2 days remote)

As VAT Assistant key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare and submit European VAT returns and associated reports.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and ensure integrity of VAT data in the general ledger.
• Support compliance with VAT legislation across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
• Analyse large volumes of financial data to provide insights that support business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and contribute to improvement initiatives.

To be successful as VAT Assistant, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous VAT experience, ideally with exposure to multi-currency and multinational operations.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex datasets.
• A curious and questioning mindset, able to connect data insights to wider business issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confident communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ideally, you will also be studying towards a professional qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA).
